INGREDIENTS
- 100-120g EPIROS Semihard cheese, coarsely grated
- 8 slices stale white bread
- 4 slices ham
- 1½ tea cup milk
- 3 eggs
- 1 pinch of salt
- Oil for frying
EXECUTION
Break the eggs in bowl, add 2-3 spoonfuls of milk, salt and beat them well. In a second bowl pour the remaining milk.
Put the oil in a large frying pan, on moderate heat and when it starts sizzling, dip 4 slices of bread into the milk, then into the beaten eggs and finally place them in the frying pan. When they turn golden brown on one side, flip them over.
Remove and place on a dish lined with kitchen paper and immediately sprinkle 2 of the 4 slices with the grated cheese so that it can melt. Place a slice of ham on top of each of two slices of bread and cover with the other two slices.
Prepare the remaining 4 slices in the same way. Serve immediately.
Tip: If you prefer your French toast sweet, spread them with EPIROS Feta PDO cheese or EPIROS Light and pour honey over them.
